What Is It?

MailSite Anti-Virus is a fully integrated virus filtering solution for MailSite that protects your email network from viruses and other email-borne mal-ware. By protecting your email server MailSite Anti-Virus prevents lengthy and costly down time.

MailSite has partnered with Kaspersky Lab to fully integrate the Kaspersky advanced anti-virus scanning engine into the core of the MailSite Fusion to provide you with full protection against viruses.

How Is It Different To Microsoft Exchange Anti-Virus?

MailSite Anti-Virus software is packaged with every version of MailSite Fusion and does not require a separate installation. MailSite Anti-Virus is administered through the standard MailSite Administration Console and does not use a separate administration interface.

How Are Updates Handled?

MailSite Anti-Virus continually checks for updates to the virus engine and virus definitions. Definitions are automatically updated every 5 minutes to ensure that your MailSite server is up-to-date and protected from all of the latest viruses and mal-ware. Software updates to the anti-virus engine are delivered and installed with no administrator intervention and no interruption in service. This provides peace of mind and frees up internal administrative resources, and lowers the cost of providing anti-virus protection.

The MailSite Anti-Virus engine is integrated into MailSite Fusion. The requirements for the Virus engine are the same as MailSite Collabroator. MailSite Anti-Virus is licensed on an optional annual subscription basis. MailSite Anti-Virus software is bundled in the MailSite Fusion installer and is simply activated by the license key.
